In memory of Martha Fessler, mother of Chairman/Co-founder Richard Fessler. Her life stands as an inspiration to the many that follow in her footsteps into the to nursing profession.

Born into a blue collar family of nine children, no one in her extended family had ever gone beyond high school. When she announced she was going to nursing college as she approached high school graduation an uncle asked her in contempt, "Who do you think you are?" Although this was meant to discourage her, she instead became even more determined.

She went on not only to graduate four years later, but graduated as President of her class. In her life of service to the care of people in need, she spent over 30 years as a missionary nurse caring for those most in need

Nursing provides an essential service to society which addresses a full range of human experiences and responses across a continuum from health to illness. Thus the goal of nursing care is to serve the individual, family and community for the purpose of health promotion, health maintenance, and health restoration.
